I feel this photo has a gritty very real day in (or night in) the life look to it, unlike most photos of nudes you see posted.
I love the motion implied by the pose and the lighting only enhances the cinéma vérité look of it. If it wasn't for the tattoo on the woman's back, one would think this a frame from an old movie.
While I have not looked at the rest of your work (which I will once I write this) but I would encourage you to move in this style direction, as I feel you may be on to a look that most people see, but few can create and create well.
At first it seems like a rather blurry uninteresting photo, one that is always passed over in thumbnail. Yet if you take the time to look the story changes.
This is what an "erotic" photo is supposed to be. There is explicit nudity, but it differs from the million other explicit photos that are posted each day. It's not a clean photo, or a technical wonder, or an eye catching high def popper with over-saturated colors that appeals to the short attention span video game generation. It's deceptively good. It's subdued and "dirty" in all the right ways. It's earthy, and sensual, and rich. It's grimy and warm and rough around the edges, very sensual, very loving. The model is not demeaned, the model is edified. The photographer and model do a wonderful job here conveying a very simple emotional response. "Longing" with just enough earthy lust. This is not a cartoon fantasy woman, this is a real woman, the kind that you want to fall in love with forever...
I would like a more focused version. The lighting is quite stunning and dramatic. The composition and contrast of shapes with the dark tones at the bottom an light at the top give a strong foundation. You are a beautiful model and your willingness to explore can give you a so many wonderful avenues to pursue. I wish you great success.
What an elegant, well-formed body you have! I'm allured away from sadness by your wonderful symmetry, but caught in sadness by the light-tempest itself; like a ghost-child in the wires- but its very honest, with that flash, since some light is like that. Some anchor-bolts of life are like that- worse that they are true and leave outposts in the soul, and flash away. Its a true swirling convection in the honest body; so to me this portrait moves- I too had some moods like this, and nakedness seemed honest and plain to me. Still, though, I'm drawn to your beauty- you do have grace very much-
Well, thanks for saying thanks; I wasn't sure about what I said (I was in a late night mood, full of weariness)-but you are graceful & intricate- You have such color underneath!
